Dr. & Mrs. Khương Hữu Long  Tombstone and
@ The Khương Hữu Cemetery
Dr. Khương Hữu Long  served as the first Minister of Health under the last Emperor Bão Đại (Việt  Nam regained its independence as French occupation ended after Word War II). Dr. Khương supported and
championed  many political reform initiatives that were successfully responsible for various imperial and presidential appointments of cabinet members and prime-ministers under his royal majesty Emperor
Bão Đại administration and the 1st & 2nd Republic of South Vietnam (Ngô Đình Diệm and Trần Văn Hương).  In 1946, Prime Minister - Dr. Nguyễn Văn Thinh appealed to Dr. Khương to accept the position of
Minister of the department of Health as Emperor Bão Đại assembled his first cabinet positions to commence his ruling administration under the French occupation. After the discovery of the French imperialistic
and colonization goal for Việt Nam, Dr. Khương ̣(along with his colleagues ) submitted his resignation. Subsequently, his Majesty, Emperor Bão Đại appointed Dr. Khương to be the next Prime Minister, Dr.
Khương declined such appointment - refused to cooperate and worked for the French that was colonizing our country Việt Nam. It was also Dr. Khuong's referral to Emperor Bão Đại  that Dr. Hữu became the
next Prime Minister for Việt Nam under the rule of his Majesty  Emperor Bão Đại.

Dr. Khương was well respected by the Vietnamese peasants, French government officials, and Vietnamese Aristocrats. Under a complex war time with the French, with his patriotic idealism philosophy,  Dr.
Khương continued to deliver free medical services & care to the poor families.
